Wesley Francis Yates, son of James H. Yates and Matilda (Auberry or Avery) Yates, was born on 12 Nov. 1852 at Washington County, Kentucky.[1][2][3] He was a farm laborer when he appeared on the census of 24 Aug. 1870 in the home of his parents at Fredericksburg, Washington County, Kentucky.[4]
He married Emily Elizabeth Nally, daughter of John Benedict Nally and Susannah Ann (Hinton) Nally.[3] on 27 Sep. 1880 at Washington County, Kentucky.[5]
Wesley died on 21 July 1934 at Holy Cross, Marion County, Kentucky and was buried at Saint Rose Cemetery, Springfield, Washington County, Kentucky.[2] His memorial has a photo, a copy of his death certificate and links to those of family members.[3]
