Have you taken a Y-DNA test? If so, let's talk. If not, I hope that you might consider this. It is a very powerful tool to straighten out lines back in the 1700s. Different Yates lines crossed in locales of Virginia and neighboring states. Much genealogy back then has been guessed base on proximity, which is dangerous. We need a project here to help sort this out. People such as yourself who have clear, deep lines have a gift that help can solve puzzles. Thank you. --John
Thank you for self-certifying for the Pre-1700 badge! Participation in a Pre-1700 Project is strongly encouraged for those wishing to edit Pre-1700 profiles. Collaboration is essential because pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants.
It looks like the United States Project would be a good fit with the profiles you entered. Adding the tag United_States will help you get updates about activity for that project.
Do you have any questions? Let me know. I'm happy to help! :-)
