The 1860 census for Hempstead, Arkansas (same township) records Nancy living with her new husband John Snider, 49, listed as a laborer from North Carolina. Her daughters Malissa (17) and Martha (15) appear to have taken John Snider's last name, changing from Stephenson (or Stevenson) to Snider. Both are listed as being born in Arkansas.
The exact date of Nancy's death is not known, but has been listed by some researchers as Oct. 6, 1858, Arkansas. Her appearance in the 1860 Hempstead census would argue that she died some time after 1860.
