Biography
When James Herbert Yates was born on 3 November 1888 in Dandenong, Victoria, his father, James, was 25 and his mother, Henrietta, was 20. He married Frances Felicia McVicar on 3 April 1912 in Neutral Bay, New South Wales. They had two children during their marriage. He died on 30 September 1962 at the age of 73, and was buried in New South Wales.
