Biography

Johanna was the daughter of Oliver Yaw and Sarah Ford.

She married John S A Whitcomb on Aug. 18, 1844. ^[1] Children: Sewell and Alice.

The 1850 census (Chittenden, Rutland, Vermont) lists John S A Whitcomb 31 VT, carpenter; Joanna D 29 VT; and Sewell S 4 VT.

She died on Oct 23, 1863. ^[2]

She is buried in Baird cemetery. Headstone shows: Joanna D Yaw/Wife of/J S A Whitcomb/Died/Oct 23, 1863 ^[3]
