Biography
Robert Yeamans was a butcher in Bristol.
On the 2nd July 1588,Robert (of no recorded trade) became a Burgess and freeman of the city of Bristol through marriage to Margaret the widow of Jacob Mascall a butcher of Bristol (deceased).[1]
Margaret was still living in 1609 as she was recorded on an apprenticeship record of that date. [2]
His second wife's name was Jane. His children were:

- William (under 21 in 1615)
- Robert (under 21 in 1615)
- Margaret
- Anne (under 18 in 1615)
- John (under 15 in 1615)
He died in 1615. He left a will dated 8 June 1615, which was proved by his son Richard in the Prerogative Court of Canterbury on 6 October 1615. A transcript of his will is here.
Research Notes
Robert has some connection to William Yeomans (abt.1582-abt.1647) a scrivener who is mentioned in a Robert’s will and is left a substantial bequest.
