Biography

John Yeomans was a convict on the Third Fleet.

John was born in 1769 in Kineton Warwick England.

Convicted at Warwick in 1790. Arrived on Brittania.

John married Mary (Cassidy) Yeomans 15 Apr 1798. John and Mary had eight children over about 15 years.

John received grants of land at Concord, then Sackville and Wilberforce.

He ran an inn before moving to Wilberforce where he sold meat and liquor.

During 1806 he acted as constable during the floods.

He died 17 Mar 1837 in Maitland.
