Biography

Died of a broken hip a 75 years, 6 months and 21 days. The "Wadsworth Banner Press" obit of 12/23/1909 said she accidentally fell down a short flight of steps that the Hotel Krieder on 10/28 after visiting her sister. Her pain became worse and she lingered for seven weeks. She was sadly mourned by family and friends. She was a Mennonite, and she and her sister Mary Ann dressed in the conventional way of the "plain people" of that faith on Sundays,including a little black prayer cap. The other six days of the week, they dressed in more common, unpretentious clothes.

Came to the Connecticut "Western Reserve" to Wadsworth, OH by covered wagon with her parents from Montgomery Co., PA in 1850. Her husband came the same year too.
