Thomas Jefferson York was born in 1810 in Overton, Tennessee, his father, Thomas, was 39 and his mother, Frances, was 29. He had 11 children with Mary Mitchell and five children with Margaret Price. He died in 1880 in Fentress, Tennessee, at the age of 70.
1850 Census: Thomas was 40 years old, living in District 4, Fentress County, Tennessee. He was with his wife, Mary, and 9 children.
1860 Census: Thomas was 51 years old, living in District 1, Fentress County, Tennessee. He was with his wife, Margaret (Mary) and 6 children.
