I am currently working on more detailed biographies for each of the profiles that I manage here on Wikitree. Please note that some of these changes are still underway and may not yet be reflected on these pages. Thanks!

Hello, fellow wikitree members and potential family members! Welcome to my profile. First, I will warn you that my autobiography writing skills are weak, at best, but I'm going to do my best to come up with a description of myself that isn't going to bore any of you to sleep!

I was born in the early 1990s to my mother, Cathleen York [1], and her then partner. I was raised in Hamilton, Ontario, where I am still living to this day. I attended Orchard Park Secondary School and Sir Winston Churchill Secondary School in Hamilton, Ontario and later attended Mohawk College.

I was employed in the field of personal care for over a year, working with adults with physical disabilities such as spastic quadriplegia and cerebral palsy. Now, I work as a grant writer for a local non-profit organization.

If you should find yourself in need of help with writing biographies, citing sources, formatting, or editing, feel free to contact me for assistance! I would be more than happy to help you with these tasks.

If you're still awake, and would like to know more, feel free to contact me or explore the additional details on my profile. At this time, I am creating a relationship chart, which should be added very shortly. If you discover that we share a relationship and would like to be added to the list, just leave a comment or send a private message with the following info:

* Your Name
* Our common ancestor's name
* A link to your profile and the common ancestor's profile
* Our relationship
* Any other important or interesting details regarding the ancestor, our connection, or yourself.

I look forward to hearing from you!

Hi Shirley

I’m the new Project Coordinator for the England Project. I am contacting you, as there have been some recent changes to the project which we are keen to bring to your attention. Please look at the England Project page for more information on the changes and the ways members are able to actively contribute moving forward. Once you have considered how you would like to participate, please contact either myself or Susie to let us know. We can then list your involvement, help you join the Google group forum for England, and give you any other help you may need to get going. If we don’t hear back from you we’ll assume you do not wish to be a part of the England Project for the time being. We really hope you will join the team! Gillian

Shirley --

This week we have your last stop on the guided tour. Hopefully, you're feeling like a WikiTree pro! If not, you can always revisit the tour stops via the comment boxes on the right side of your profile.

You've covered a lot of ground the past few weeks. Today, we want to give you just a few more tools that can take you even deeper into the WikiTree forest without getting lost: How to Dig a Little Deeper.

As always, your questions are welcome!

You may have been hard at work getting connected to family members who are already here and adding those who were missing. You probably have at least a few profiles that you manage now.

There's a fast and easy way to access those profiles using the Watchlist. So, this week we're going to look at How to Manage Your Watchlist.

Please let one of us know if you have questions! Just click my name above the comment, then ask in the comment section of my page. We want to help!

Thanks, WikiMessenger Cindy

PS Good work, keep it up! Have you explored on your ancestors profiles on the bottom right is "Research" where you can find sources and more information. Give it a try sometime!

You've been here for several weeks now! We hope your profiles are starting to come together and that you've enjoyed getting to know us a little better.

You're probably getting a good feel for the collaborative nature of WikiTree by now. We know that collaboration isn't always easy. So, we've put together a few pointers that can make working in this type of environment a little easier: How to be a Successful WikiTreer.

Don’t hesitate to ask questions as that is the only way we gain knowledge!

Thanks, WikiMessenger Cindy

PS Great work Shirley! Keep it up!
