Biography
Thatcher York is the son of Peter York and Abaiah (Russell) York, of Bethel, Oxford County, Maine. Thatcher was a town officer in Bethel in 1843 [1]
On April 21, 1824, in Bethel, Maine, Thatcher married Lydania Frost, the daughter of Aaron and Susan (Gray) Frost. Lyndania, who was born in 1802, in Newry, Maine, died May 11, 1830.
In October of 1830, Thatcher married Lucy Powers, born July 1, 1800, in Newry, Maine. She died December 5, 1890.
Thatcher, Lydania and Lucy are all buried in Bethel, Maine.
