Mary Jane Jones was born in Wales before August 1869. She immigrated to the United States with her parents about 1884. [1]
Mary Jane married Frank James 13 August 1887 in Carroll, Wayne County, Nebraska. [2] Frank and Mary Jane remained in the Carroll area and 3 children were born, Johnnie R, Anna May and Edith. [3][1][4]
Research Notes
Family records have Mary's maiden name as York; however, the Nebraska Marriage record found in Ancestry clearly shows her maiden name as Mary Jane Jones and her parents as John and Elizabeth Jones. In addition, the marriage license gives Mary's age in August 1887 as 18, which would make her birth year 1869; however, 1900 US Census list birth as July 1870. Birth is marked uncertain as no birth record has been found.
