Notes

This is kind of a stand-in profile.. I'm pretty sure he died as divorce was not common and Charlotte definitely remarried. Also not sure how old he would've been when he died, just estimating that he was a few years older than Charlotte. Very clear that they had two daughters as York is not a common surname in Lunenburg County and Caroline and Margaret (both York's on their marriage registrations) were born before Charlotte married Artemus anyway.

Biography

Per the Siteman's source Charlotte Sophia Eisan first married Henry York sometime between around 1850. They had at least two daughters, Caroline (1853) and Margaret (1855) before, I assume, Henry died and Charlotte remarried Artemus with whom she had a large family.

Mary B. Fader (63) appears on the 1871 Census as a widow. With her are 2 of her daughters Ann (28) and Grace (23). They are right next to her son Artemus (36) his wife Charlotte (42) and their family John H (14), Mary B (12), Elizabeth (10), Bryzellias (8), Ida (4) and Artemus Jr (2). There are also 2 older daughters, Caroline (18), and Margaret (16), they are from Charlotte's first marriage to Henry York.
