George Young was born about 1643 in Plymouth Colony

Husband of Hannah (Pinson) Morey — married 15 Jan 1661 (to 1673) in Plymouth Colony[1]. Massachusetts Marriages indexes Hannah's maiden name as Pinchin and their marriage location as East Bridgewater, Massachusetts,[2] or with no maiden name in Scituate, Massachusetts.[3] or indexed as Hannah Binson and married in Plymouth (possibly county as note at the top of this page may say Scituate.)[4]

Father of Thomas Young Sr, Hannah Young, Margret Young, Elizabeth (Young) Fuller and Patience (Young) Fuller.

George died in 1672.

His inventory was taken on 16 October 1672. His widow Hannah was deposed to the inventory on 1 December 1672 at Plymouth.[5]

Research Notes

Disputed Parents: George has been considered to be a son of John Young and Abigail Howland, but there's no proof that he was their son. [6] In fact, John Young didn't include a son George in his will of 1688, nor did he mention any grandchildren that could have belonged to George.[7] [8] In addition the Young DNA Project documents where descendants of George (R1B-M269 Group 15) are not related to descendants of John (R1B-M269 Group 4).

According to the Young surname DNA Project George Young (R1B-M269 Group 15) cannot be the son of John Young (R1B-M269 Group 4) as their Y-DNA STR markers are too diverse. Therefor, the parents of George Young should be removed from his profile.
