DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Joy by comparing test results with other carriers of her ancestors' mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known mtDNA test-takers in her direct maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Joy:

Hi, Joy -- Thanks for the note about the Young tree! Unfortunately, it makes a common mistake. The Isaac Young buried in Knox County is not the father of the Isaac Young IV who married Sarah Moore and Catherine Ault. THAT Isaac Young (and his father) moved to Monroe County, Ohio, in the late 1830s. He died in Wood County in 1871. He is supposedly buried in Big Tygart Cemetery in Wood Co., but I could not find it. His parents are buried in Unity Baptist Cemetery, Antioch, Monroe County OH. Isaac Sr. died 15 Jan 1845. https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/43870975. Elizabeth died 20 Mar 1840. https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/43870994/elizabeth-young.

Hi Joy, no I don't think I'm related to

Do you have any documentation to support the removal of Cass-126 parents? Also, changes made to Gove-34, Cass-40 the biography still has information for Samuel as the father but was removed. Before making changes to family attachments please collaborate with the profile managers first. Making notes about why changes were made helps eliminate possible conflicts.

Regards, Michelle

Hi Joy, What is the source of that info on Family Search?

Peg

I see on Family Search that the wife of Daniel Mother is Elizabeth Mary Edwards. Possibly Edwards-1540

Hi!

Now that you have had a little time to try WikiTree, there are a few more features you may find useful.

Ideas on what to include in a profile can be found in Styles and Standards, including some tips on writing biographies.

If you need to describe an event, an heirloom or a location relevant to your research, you may like to learn about Free Space Profiles.

Lastly, sometimes you'll run into unresponsive profile managers. We have a process for resolving those unfortunate situations.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask via my profile page.

Hello J. Joy, and welcome to WikiTree!

The initial email from us has helpful links that will get you started on WikiTree, which is not like any genealogy site you’ve ever used.

WikiTree is different because our goal is to have one profile per person, and that means we all work together as a BIG collaborative team!

When you confirm your email address, you’ll have an opportunity to become a member of WikiTree. Just add a Tag for each family name or place you are researching. Then click the “Post Tags and Volunteer” button. One of our Greeters will be happy to confirm your membership.

WikiTree is an exciting and growing community and we are really glad you decided to join us.
