Biography

Margaret Annie Young, (married name Stearne), was born on 13 March 1838 at sea, the daughter of Mary (Jamieson) Young and James Young.^{[citation needed]}

She married Twist Stearne on 25 December 1858 in Hindmarsh, South Australia.^[1]

On Friday evening the wife of Mr. Twist Stearne, who arrived in South Australia in 1838, died at her residence, Hindmarsh, after a long and painful illness at the age of 51 years. The deceased was an old resident at Hindmarsh, and was highly respected. She leaves a husband and five daughters. ^[3]
