Biography

Born in Iowa, William Jasper Young moved frequently with his family from parts of Iowa to Missouri and back. He married Adeline M. in 1869 in Missouri. They had one son, William N. It is unknown at this time if Adeline died.

Next, he married Trilla Bell in Niles, Berrien, Michigan in 1877. Later, in the 1880 census, he is listed as a Presbyterian minister. So, he possibly attended Notre Dame School of Divinity, a close location to where he married his Trilla.

Near the end of William's life, he was hospitalized for a time at the U.S. National Homes for Disabled Volunteer Soldiers. His obituary lists him as a Doctor of Divinity.
