Biography
Based on the year of her marriage, and the year of birth of her youngest child, Jean was born no later than about 1777, and probably no earlier than about 1760.
There are four Jean Young births in Avondale in the period 1760 to 1777.
Jean married Andrew Semple. They were proclaimed for marriage in the parish of Avondale on 23 March 1793.[1]
There is an entry in the Old Parish Records for Avondale for the death or burial of Jean Young, spouse of Andrew Semple in Hall, 29 April 1818.[2]
