At the age of 20, Rachel worked as a linen factory worker in Dysart, Fife, Scotland^[39]. After she married William, she did not appear to work and remained as a "ship carpenter's wife"^[40][41].

Death

Rachel died 29 Jun 1927 in Dysart, Fife, Scotland. ^[42][29] She was preceded in death by her husband, William, on 24 Jan 1922. ^[43] Both are buried, along with their son William, at the Barony Church - War Memorial Cemetery. ^[29]
