She was the daughter of William Young and Clare Sewell. She passed away about 1805. [2] Col. William Young (1711-1772) of Nanjemoy and Sewall’s Fancy, Baltimore County, Maryland

ORIGINAL RECORDS of THE YOUNG FAMILY of BALTIMORE COUNTY. With Notes by William B. Marye The following entries are made in a copy of Watts’ "Evangelical Discourses" (1747) which was formerly the property of Captain John Young, (d. 1762), a native of Calvert County and a brother of Col. William Young (1711-1772) of Nanjemoy and Sewall’s Fancy, Baltimore County, Maryland.

Coll. Wm. Young ( the brother of Capt. John Young) married Clare Tasker whose maiden name was Tasker Sewell. They had only one daughter who was Re­becca Young mother of W. B. Stokes.

(Note - Colonel William Young married Clare Tasker, widow of Thomas Tasker of Calvert County, a brother of the Hon. Benjamin Tasker. She was the daughter of Major Nicho­las Sewall. Rebecca Young, their only child, married (1st) Samuel Young, Esq., of "Young's Escape". Baltimore County, grandson of the Hon. Samuel Young of Annapolis; (2) William Brooke Stokes, Esq. of Havre de Grace) [3]Name: Rebecca Stokes Gender: Female Marriage Date: 9 Apr 1765 Spouse: Samuel Young Spouse Gender: Male County: Baltimore County [4]15 Aug. 1756 • Baltimore County, Maryland, USA Robert Stokes Husband, Rebecca Young's Husband's Will:

STOKES, ROBERT (5), s. of Humphrey Wells (3) and Mary was b 8 Dec. 1731; d. in Balto. Co. leaving a will, 30 Oct. 1756 - 29 Nov. 1756, naming w. Rebecca, unborn ch., Mrs. Cordelia Christie, Miss Frances Stokes, father-in-law Col. William Young and friend Samuel Young; admin. bond was posted 9 Dec. 1756 by Rebecca Stokes, who admin. the est. on 11 Jan. 1758 and 2 April 1760; Rober m. Rebecca, dau. of William Young, on 15 Aug. 1756 and had is.: Robert Young, b. 13 July 1757


1757 removed this DOD because we say she married in 1767.............
