Mary Jane Young was born on 24th July 1866 [1][2] at Wrington, Somerset, England, the daughter of Samuel Young & Mary Patch.
Mary Jane Young, of full age, Spinster, of Felton, (daughter of Samuel Young, Farmer) married Edward Thomas Parkes, of full age, Bachelor, Gardiner, of Broadwinder, (son of George Parkes, Builder) on 25th May 1892 in the Parish Church of St. Katherine, Felton Common Hill, Somerset, England according to the Rites and Ceremonies of the Established Church after Banns by H. G. Phillips. Edward & Mary both signed their names. Witnesses were Elizabeth Jane Baker, Frederick Alexander & William Isaac Inchton (?). [3][4]
Mary Jane Parkes, of Highcroft, West Town, Backwell, Somersetshire, wife of Edward Thomas Parkes died aged 78, on 23rd March 1945.[5] Probate of her estate was granted at Bristol on 13th July 1945 to William Parkes, Tailor and Victor Thomas Parkes, Engineer.[5][6]
