Biography

Butt has him as born 1864-65[1]

His wife was Margaret Alice Marche, according to several unsourced trees, and they married ca 1890 in Stephenville.

Census of Marche's Point, Newfoundland. George Young (49, b. 'Keipens') was head of a household with his wife Alice (45, b. Sandy Point). Also in the house were their children Joseph (19), Charles (17), Mary (16), John (14), William (13), Cecila (12), Louise (11), Robert (7), Annie (6), Thomas (4), Michael (3), and Joseph (5 mo), all born in 'Keipens'[2].
