Robert was born in 1871 and was the third child of Robert and Mary (Duncan) Younger. He married Emma Matilda Hill, daughter of William and Jane (Vint) Hill in November 1892 and died two months later at the age of 22. Robert is buried in the Cross/Goshen Wesleyan Cemetery and is listed on a headstone with his younger twin brothers, Frank and William, who both died as very young infants. Frank lived for only 8 days and William lived for 15 days.
