Biography

Florence Catherine Yount was born August 12, 1854 in Catawba, North Carolina to parents Elkanah Yount and Elizabeth Yount.[1]
Florence married William Elcanah Hollar on December 25, 1879[2]and together they had eight children:
  1. Baxter Craig (1880 - 1954)
  2. Cletus Elmore (1883 - 1954)
  3. Novella Catherine (1885 - 1996)
  4. John William (1887 - 1963)
  5. Clement Ransom (1889 - 1961)
  6. Guy Elcanah (1891 - 1981)
  7. Brite Isabella Diana (1893 - 1976)
  8. Willie Almetia (1897 - 1989)

: She passed away from "respiratory failure as a result of a cerebral hemorrhage" on April 5, 1944.[3] She was buried two days later at Saint John's Lutheran Church Cemetery in Conover, Catawba County, North Carolina. [4]
