When Cynthia Zachary was born in 1800 in Orange, South Carolina, her father, William, was 40, and her mother, Elizabeth, was 24. She married John Palmer Collins in 1820 in St Tammany, Louisiana. They had five children during their marriage. She died in 1835 in St Landry, Louisiana, at the age of 35.
