Beloved husband of 57 years to Eda Cordova Zapata; loving father of Carlos Roberto Zapata, Jr., Mario Zapata and his former wife Margot and Javier Zapata and his wife Derlene; grandfather to Christina Zapata, Amanda Zapata, Javier "Ben" Zapata and his wife Amanda, Gaby Aguilera, Renda Ruiz, Edita Zapata, Stephanie Zapata and Natalie Zapata; and great grandfather to Magnus Zapata Loue. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ernestina Castillio Zapata; his father, Phillipe Zapata; and two brothers, Edgardo and Francisco Zapata. Age 77 years. A native of Le Ceiba, Honduras and a resident of Covington, LA for the past 2 years. Please rejoice with us as our Beloved Carlos was a born again Christian and is now with Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral services on Sunday, April 13, 2008 at 3:00 PM from the Chapel at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home Inc., 2260 W. 21st. Ave., Covington, LA 70433. Visitation will be on Saturday, April 12, 2008 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM and on Sunday, April 13, 2008 from 1:00 to 3:00 PM. Interment will follow in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens.
