Biography

In his father's petition for land, he names John George as one of his sons and states that John George is age 21 as of March 1753.[1]

George Zeigler served in 1759-60 in Captain John Morrison's (Amelia) company of Col. John Chevillette's Battalion of South Carolina Militia in the 1759-60 Cherokee Expedition. In 1781, George (along with Jacob and Nicholas) Zeagler was on the muster roll of Captain Kelly's (Amelia) company of the Loyalist militia.

Could not find baptism record at the indicated date in church book of Söhnstetten, Württemberg: Landeskirchliches Archiv Stuttgart > Dekanat Heidenheim an der Brenz > Söhnstetten > Taufregister 1601-1800 Band 1 Archion

In the merged profiles, one showed a death date of 1795 and the other 29 Jan 1808. Neither date has a source.
