George Zeigler served in 1759-60 in Captain John Morrison's (Amelia) company of Col. John Chevillette's Battalion of South Carolina Militia in the 1759-60 Cherokee Expedition. In 1781, George (along with Jacob and Nicholas) Zeagler was on the muster roll of Captain Kelly's (Amelia) company of the Loyalist militia.
