His wife Elizabeth, born August 21, 1772, died November 17, 1805, when her children were small. The first child HENRY, born March 7, 1792, died October 6, 1793. ANNA ZIEGLER, born March 7, 1794, in her latter years married MICHAEL SHOEMAKER, of Franconia. She kept house for her father and brother John many years, and was still single in 1842. She died November 18, 1847, leaving no issue.
