Obituary - Mr. Johann Frederick Zilm, one of the oldest residents of Greenock, died on Christmas Day ?. (The deceased, who was born at Golzen, Germany, in 1831, landed at Port Adelaide in 1838, arriving in the ship Bengalee. He worked at Hahndorf for 15 years, and then settled at Nain, near Greenock, where he engaged in agricultural pursuits. Four of the Eight children survive him from his first marriage and five from the second. During his 54 years residence at Nain he made many friends. [1]
