Obituary

Mrs. Vida M. Miner, Marquette, Michigan formerly of Kalamazoo, died Thursday evening, December 5, 1998 at her residence. Mrs. Miner was born September 10, 1912 in Bath, Michigan, a daughter of George and Blanche (Kellogg) Zimmerman.

She had been a lifelong resident of Kalamazoo before moving to Marquette five years ago. She was a member of the Traverse City and Kalamazoo Eagles Clubs.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley R. Miner on August 27, 1974; a daughter, Blanche M. Balis in 1990; and two brothers Orville and George Zimmerman.

She is survived by four children; Raymond R. (Virginia) Miner of Kalamazoo, Linda Johnson of Marquette, Michigan, Janet (Jerry) Lamb of Largo, Florida; and Sue Burdick of Marquette, Michigan; a son-in-law, Eugene Balis, of Texas; 16 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Services will be held 3 o'clock Monday from the Langeland Family Funeral Home and Memorial Chapel.
