Biography

Hazel (Zimmerman) Jackson is a part of US Black heritage.

Hazel Mundora Zimmerman was born in 1917. She was the daughter of Florence Walker. She grew up in Jackson Township, Pike County, Ohio, living with her mother, siblings, and John Harris, who was probably the uncle of her mother's husband John Zimmerman.^[1][2]

Hazel married Arnold Donald Jackson in the 1930's.^[3] In 1940 and 1950, they lived in Jackson Township, Pike County, Ohio with their children.^[4][5]

Hazel died on 26 Apr 1984 in Columbus, Franklin County, Ohio^[6][7] and is buried in Jackson Cemetery in Beaver, Ohio.^[8]

Research Notes

• Marriage: No marriage records for Hazel have been found online - FamilySearch only has Pike County marriage records up to 1913 as of 30 Jul 2023. She is estimated to have married Arnold Donald Jackson around 1938 since they were first enumerated together in the 1940 census and they had a one year old son at that time.^[4]
