Biography

Karl was probably born between 1877 and 1881 (see Notes), probably in Austria or Poland (see Notes). His parents were Jacob Zimmerman and Sarah (Unknown) Zimmerman.^[1]

Karl immigrated to the United States, probably in 1900 or 1904 (see Notes). He became a naturalized United States citizen, probably in 1910^[2] or 1912.^[3]

Karl (shown as Keve or Kehl) married Lina Cranin (shown as Lena) February 15, 1913 in Brooklyn, Kings, New York, United States^[1] and they had at least 3 children (see Notes).

In 1915, Karl (shown as Carl, age 34) and Lina (age 25) lived at 316 Groner Street in Brooklyn, Kings, New York, United States with their son Sidney (age 1). Karl was a bedding manufacturer.^[4]
