Fraley Funeral Home, Moorefield, Hardy, WV Grace Steach (July 9, 1932 - April 22, 2006) Laura Grace Steach, age 73 of Morgantown, WV formerly of Moorefield, WV, passed away Saturday morning, April 22, 2006 at her residence. Born July 9, 1932 in Moorefield, she was the daughter of the late George W. & Minnie E. (Judy) Zirk. She was preceded in death by seven brothers. Surviving is her husband, Lyle Steach, Pendleton County Nursing Home, Franklin, WV; two sons, Kevin Steach of Morgantown, WV and William Steach of Albany ,Oregon, a brother, Alec Zirk of Old Fields, WV; a sister, Nellie V. Zirk of Moorefield, WV and six grandchildren and a great-grandchild. A Memorial Service will be held 7:00 PM Wednesday, April 26, 2006 at the Fraley Funeral Home in Moorefield with Pastor Harold Garber officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until time of services. Additionally, the family will receive friends from 4:30 – 6:00 PM at the Lee Street Apartments Banquet Hall. At her request, Grace has been cremated and inurnment will be held at a later date.

Laura Grace (Zirk) Steach, always went by her middle name, "Grace", and was born 7/9/1932 Hardy Co. WV. She passed away 4/22/2006 Morgantown, WV. Grace married Lyle Steach 1929-2008 and they had two sons; Kevin and William. Lyle was born in Texas and spent 27 yrs in the Coast Guard. After he retired, they returned to Moorefield where he was the Town Police Chief until he retired from there. She is buried at Saint Luke Cemetery in Hampshire Co., WV. Most of the family is buried there or at Olivet Cemetery in Moorefield. *Appears that Nellie and Grace were twins, but they did not look anything alike. - Personal recollections of Alan Wetzel
