Biography

Elizabeth (Zirkle) Hunsaker was a Pennsylvanian.
Elizabeth (Zirkle) Hunsaker lived in Appalachia, in Virginia.


Elizabeth Catherine was born about 1754 in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. Her father was George Henry Zirkle.

Marriage: She married Abraham Huntsacker/ Hunsaker Jr. about 1770 in Virginia. They had seven children. Their first two daughters are born in Virginia. About 1778, they removed to Burke County, North Carolina and their remaining five children are born in North Carolina.

  1. Barabara (Hunsaker) Gabbard (1770-1848)
  2. Mary Sarah “Sally” (Hunsaker) Fleenor (1771-1853
  3. Catherine “Caty” (Hunsaker) Fleenor (1778-1810)
  4. Elizabeth Rebecca (Hunsaker) Thomas (1782-1866)
  5. Abraham “Abram” Hunsaker/Huntsucker (1788-1858), m. Barbara Fleenor b. 1791
  6. Nancy Huntsucker (1792-?), never married
  7. James Huntsucker (1795-1850), m. Barbara Fleenor b. 1802

By 1797, they had removed to Washington County, Virginia. [1]

She passed away in 1834 in Emory, Washington County, Virginia. [2]
