James died on 5 May 1904 at Oswegatchie, Saint Lawrence, New York[3] and was buried at Pine Hill Cemetery, Oswegatchie, St. Lawrence County, New York. His memorial has a photo of his memorial monument and a link to that of Huldah.[1]
