William la Zouche of Totnes, Devon, had significant ancestry pedigree with Magna Carta Barons.

Mother Elizabeth de Roos b. c 1325, d. 24 May 1380

Sir William la Zouche[2], 3rd Lord Zouche of Harringworth was born circa 1342 at of Harringworth, Northamptonshire, England; Age 40 in 1382. Also had property in Eaton Bray & Totternhoe, Bedfordshire; Totnes, Devonshire;[3] and Calstone, Wiltshire.[4] as mentioned in very recent posting SGM forum, he also was referred to as William of Totnes-Devon."William la Zouche of Totnes Devon, (c. 1340 - 13 May 1396) was the great-grandson of William la Zouche of Harringworth, I should read Complete Peerage more carefully. "[5]

He married Agnes Greene, daughter of Sir Henry Greene, Lord Chief Justice of England and Catherine Drayton, before 27 October 1351; They had 5 sons (Sir William, 4th Lord Zouche of Harringworth; Sir John; Edmund; Thomas; & Hugh) and 1 daughter (Eleanor, wife of Sir John, 6th Lord Lovel, Lord Holand).[6]a

Sir William la Zouche, 3rd Lord Zouche of Harringworth married Elizabeth le Despenser, daughter of Sir Edward le Despenser, Lord Glamorgan & Morgannwg, 4th Lord le Despenser and Elizabeth Burghersh, after 28 April 1393; No issue.[7]

Sir William la Zouche, 3rd Lord Zouche of Harringworth left a will on 2 May 1396; Requested burial in the chapel within the manor of Harringworth, Northamptonshire.2,5,6,7 He died on 13 May 1396. His estate was probated on 4 June 1396.[8]

ZOUCHE WILLIAM III Son and heir of William II la Zouche and Elizabeth Ros of Helmsley

William was born c1342 and died 1 March 1393.

[Calendar Fine Rolls RII] 20 June 1382 Westminster. Order to the escheators in the counties of Northampton and Rutland, to cause William la Zouche of Haringworth, knight, to have full seisin of all the lands late of his said father; as the king has taken his homage and fealty. Similar orders went sent to escheators of listed counties.

[Calendar Patent Rolls HIV] 5 April 1400 Westminster. Grant for life to William le Zouche, 'chivaler,' of 100 marks yearly at the Exchequer.

[Calendar Fine Rolls HV] 11 November 1415 Westminster. Order to the escheators in the counties Bedford & Buckingham, London, Northampton & Rutland, Nottingham & Derby, Warwick & Leicester, Lincoln, Salop, Wiltshire, Somerset & Dorset, Devon, Berkshire, Worcester, Norfolk, Surrey, Oxford and Stafford, of William le Zouche, 'chivaler', to take into the king's hand and keep safely until further order all the lands in his bailiwick whereof who held of the king in chief, was seised in his demesne as of fee on the day of his death; and to make inquisition touching his lands and heir. Same order sent to the escheator of Hertfordshire on 30 December.

[Calendar Inquisitions Post Mortem RII V17] No 701. William la Zouche of Haryngworth, knight. Writ 16 May 16RII [1393]. He died on 13 May last. William [IV] la Zouche, knight aged 23 years and more, is his son and heir.
