Yes, but the numbering of titles is frequently omitted. It can, for some earldoms etc, be a messy business, with different people doing the numbering in different ways.

De Vere-297 and De Vere-233 are not ready to be merged because: Not sufficient data given to make reliable comparison. Large difference in birth dates, indicating they may have been of different generations.
