Magnús Árnason

Magnús 'í Saurbæ' or "Skraut-Mangi" is claimed by some to have been the last 'Alsherjargoði'. His parent's were Árni "óreiða" at Brautarholt (and later at Saurbær on Kjalarnes, Kjósarsýsla, Iceland) and his wife Hallbera Snorradóttir, the daughter of Snorri Sturluson. Magnús lived at Saurbær on Kjalarnes and is mentioned there in 1252.[2][3][4][5]
