Motoori Nagayo was born in Okachi-machi, Shitaya-ku, Tōkyō-fu on 4 April 1885. He was a composer, known for composing the music for Japanese nursery rhymes including "Nanatsu no Ko" and "Akai Kutsu". He died on 14 October 1945.
