康子 (田中) 難波 is Notable.

Yasuko Tanaka was born in Tokyo, Japan, on February 7, 1949. Her parents and origin are unknown.

After Yasuko completed high school, she attended college at Waseda University. After graduating, she worked as a businesswoman for Federal Express in Japan.

As a mountain climber, Yasuko first reached the peak of Kilimanjaro on January 1, 1982, and then Aconcagua in 1984. She summitted Mount McKinley on July 1, 1985, and Mount Elbrus on August 1, 1992. Her next two summits were Vinson Massif on December 29, 1993, and the Carstensz Pyramid on November 12, 1994. Yasuko completed the climb of Mount Everest on May 10, 1996, becoming the second Japanese woman to complete the Seven Summits.

Yasuko Nanba died one day later at the age of 47 from hypothermia that resulted from conditions at the mountain. She was survived by her husband Ken'ichi Namba.
