Enlisted Man Isaac Bennet Died in Military Service during American Revolution.
Was included on a list of enlisted men who served under Ethan Allen during the Revolutionary War in Vermont, in "Major Brown's Detachment," part of what was known as the "Green Mountain Boys."[1]
Date of birth (before 1757) is estimated based on the theory that he would have been at least 18 at enlistment.
On another list of Major Brown's Detachment, dated "at Camp near Quebec, 16th day of February 1776," Isaac Bennet enlisted 26 Nov 1775; died 31 Jan 1776.[2]
A search of U.S., Revolutionary War Pension and Bounty-Land Warrant Application Files, 1800-1900 finds no pension application by a widow.
