Edward Claypoole Esq. migrated from Colonial America to Barbados.
Captain of the Foot, Edward Claypoole, regarded as "a man of judgement, well acquainted with public affairs" also owned slaves and transported them to his brother, James, from Barbados.[1][2]
The 'Letter of Attorney' signed and sealed by Edward to his Attorney, Patrick Robinson, is witnessed and dated 5th of November 1692.[12] His will, dated 6 Oct 1689, was proved in Barbados on the 16th of December 1692.[3][4][13]
