He was an American broadcast journalist who was a correspondent and anchor for CBS News and NBC News.

It's good to see he reached his nineties. He's especially interesting for genealogies because of the Dr. Samuel Mudd connection (or non-connection, I suppose, not being a direct descendant).

I remember when Roger Mudd was a regular correspondent on the evening news - back in the day when we only had evening news as opposed to 24 hour coverage. Then, he became one of the anchors. Great news career.
