Biography

On July 29, 1809, Jacob Amey was born in Ernestown Township. He was the son of David Amey and Catharine Snyder.

On March 19, 1839, Jacob married Mary Ann Potter. She was born on August 20, 1820. She was the daughter of Willet Casey Potter and his wife Mary.

Jacob’s children were Mary Emily (c1839-1918), Catherine Calista (1841-), Willet Casey (1845-1911), and Amanda Jane (1849-1875).

On January 16, 1893, Jacob died in Moscow.

On April 8, 1898, Mary died
