William de Aldithele was the son of Adam de Aldithele who occurs in 1155 as a witness and from 1199-1203 as a Knight on the Juries. He was Custos of Chshire in 1188 during the minority of Ranulf, Earl of Chester, and married c. 1170 Emma, daughter and heiress of Ralf fitz Orm. [1]
William would then have been born in the time frame 1170-1190.
William married before 1227 Clemence, daughter and coheiress of William de Blore of Blore and Grendon. [1]
William de Aldithele occurs 1210-1248). [1]
They had issue one son John de Audley of Blore, who occurs in 1265. He married Petronella, who was surviving as his widow in 1279. [1]
