Biography
- Antoine “Tu-shish” or “To-Too-Cho” Azure was born on May 28, 1825 in St Boniface. He died on January 31, 1914 in Turtle Mountain, North Dakota. He was the son of Antoine Azure Sr. (b. 1794) and Charlotte Pelletier. He was the grandson of Joseph Azure and Lizette Ma-na-e-cha (Chippewa). His fathers family is shown as #102, on the 1850 Pembina Census. Antoine Sr. is shown as age 56, his wife Charlotte (Pelletier) is 58.
- Antoine married Victorie Larrivie (Larivee) born 1830 in Red River; on November 5, 1845in St Francois Xavier Parish. She died on January 12, 1889 at Standing Rock, Fort Yates, South Dakota. She was the daughter of Hyacinthe Andre Larivie and Josephte Bruneau.
