Biography
Dr. Calvin Whitfield “C.W.” Balch was born 25 Apr 1811, in Duck River, Hickman County, Tennessee. His parents were Amos Balch and Martha Leach. He married Jane McNutt 8 Nov 1830, in Scott, Van Buren Township, LaGrange County, Indiana. After she passed, he then married Elizabeth Josephine Campbell McCulley 13 Feb 1843, in Montgomery County, Illinois. Dr. Calvin Whitfield “C.W.” Balch passed away 17 Mar 1894, in Edgerton, Johnson County, Kansas and was buried in the Gardner Cemetery Gardner, Johnson County, Kansas.[1][2][3][4]
