Biography
Born on 6 Sep 1766 and baptised on 4 Oct 1766 at the church of St Dunstan-in-the-West, London, she was the first child of Edward Bearcroft and his second wife Elizabeth Rogers.[1]
Elizabeth inherited the Manor of Okle Clifford in Newent, Gloucestershire from her brother Philip and aunt Letitia in about 1808. Her son Rvd James sold it to the Charity Municipal Trustees in 1858. It comprised a large Moated Manor House and was located between the Newent-Gloucester Road and Okle Green. The trustees rebuilt the house in 1860. [2]
