Biography
On 3 Oct 1736 Elizabeth Brownless, of Staindrop, daughter of John & Jane Brownless was baptised at Staindrop, St Mary the Virgin. [1]
On 9 May 1765 Robert Applegarth (of Staindrop, wagonman, widower) obtained a licence to marry Elizabeth Brownless (of Cockfield, age 30), directed to Cockfield. Surety: Leonard Foxcroft, skinner [spinner?], of Gilesgate, Durham City [Note: married 16 May at Cockfield.] [2]
On 23 Feb 1792 Elizabeth Applegarth, of Staindrop, wife of Robert Applegarth was buried at Staindrop, St Mary the Virgin. [3]
