Bartlett was born about 1770 in Rutherford County, North Carolina. He is the son of Thomas Dills and Elizabeth Cuzzine.[1] Bartlett passed away before February 1844 in Macon County, North Carolina. His burial place is unknown. (Note: the Find A Grave Memorial# 34913274 which purports to be that of Bartlett actually links to the grave site of his son, Bartlett Dills, who passed away on 24 February 1873.)
Bartlett died before February 1844 in Macon County, North Carolina. His will was presented for probate in Macon County, North Carolina. His assets were advertised for sale on 15 February 1844 by his executors, sons Phillip Dills and John Dills. The sale was to be held on 6 July 1844. Administrators' Bond was posted by John Dills, Phillip Dills and Dillard Love on 13 March 1844.[6]
